D.R. Horton Home of Your Own Raffle
Official Rules

The DR Horton Home of Your Own House Raffle is being conducted El Ranchito de los Niņos, Inc. – a non-profit organization organized under the laws of the state of New Mexico.

  1. The purchase price of a raffle ticket is $75. Checks or money orders should be made out to El Ranchito de los Niņos. The IRS has declared that raffle purchases for valuable prizes are not tax-deductible contributions. Cash, Money Orders, MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express are accepted.

    Ticket purchases may be made several ways:

In the event an entrant’s check or credit card is dishonored by the bank or credit card company, the entry is declared invalid and will be withdrawn from the drawing.

  1. Entrants must be 18 years or older and have a valid Social Security Number to purchase or be included in the drawing.
     
  2. All completed registration forms must be received with full payment no later than 5 P.M. on February 22, 2010 or before a total of 4000 tickets are sold, whichever comes first. El Ranchito de los Niņos reserves the right to extend ticket sales, at its discretion beyond the current drawing of February 27, 2010 at 11 A.M if sufficient tickets have not been sold.
     
  3. Prizes: The Grand Prize is a DR Horton Autumn Sage home located at 2483 Corvara Drive in the Master Planned Gated Community of Astante Villas at Cabezon in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The home is valued at approximately $189,990. First Prize is $7,500. Second Prize is $3,000. 3rd -5th prizes are $750 each. 6th-9th are $350 each. 10 -20th are $175 each and 21-100 prizes are $75 each.
     
  4. Drawing – All prizes will be awarded through a random drawing to be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 11 A.M. at 2483 Corvara Drive in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Winners need not be present to win. All winners will be notified via phone and mail within 7 days of the drawing. Winner’s names and winning ticket numbers will also be posted on the El Ranchito de los Niņos website for 30 days from the drawing date. A copy of these rules and winners’ names and raffle numbers may be requested by sending a self-addressed envelope to El Ranchito de los Niņos, PO Box 2400, Los Lunas, NM 87031.
     
  5. Odds – If all 4000 tickets are sold, the odds of winning a prize is 1 in 40. If all 4000 tickets are sold, the odds of winning the Grand Prize is 1 in 4000.
     
  6. All Prize winners are responsible for any and all local, state, federal taxes. The Internal Revenue Service requires that any prizes valued of $600 or more be issued a W-2G Form. The Internal Revenue Service also requires that 25% be withheld for Federal taxes, on prizes of $5000 or more.
     
  7. The Grand prize winner will have the opportunity to choose the home or $100,000 cash. They must choose their prize in writing by 4 P.M. January 22, 2010. The Grand Prize winner will execute a purchase agreement for the home with El Ranchito de los Niņos. The grand prize winner must present to El Ranchito de los Ninos, evidence of available funds to cover closing fees including IRS taxes required or an approval letter from a qualified lending firm by 4:00 pm January 22, 2010.
     
  8. The Grand Prize winner will assume and pay for any and all closing fees, including title insurance appraisal fee if necessary, local, state and federal taxes. El Ranchito de los Niņos is not held responsible for any express or implied warranties in regarding this prize. All terms, conditions and warranties of the home are between the winner and DR Horton as laid out in the purchase agreement.
     
  9. All prizes must be claimed no later than 5 P.M. on February 19, 2010. Any prizes unclaimed after that date will constitute and be transferred as a donation to El Ranchito de los Niņos.
     
  10. El Ranchito de los Niņos, its Board of Directors, D.R. Horton and its agents assume no liability for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible, or entries without complete payment which will be deemed invalid and disqualified.
     
  11. In the event that more than one name or group of individuals are listed on the winning ticket, the first name listed will be deemed the winner. It is the sole responsibility of the winner to allocate any such prize to other participants in the multiple parties listed.
     
  12. Board members, employees and volunteers of El Ranchito de los Niņos, employees and agents of D.R. Horton, and immediate family members of any of the above are not eligible to participate in this drawing and any tickets purchased by such and or entities will be void.
     
  13. Grand Prize winner understands, acknowledges and agrees that he/she is receiving a prize and will hereby release and discharge El Ranchito de los Niņos, DR Horton and any additional sponsors, their employees, agents, officers, directors, and legal representatives and assigns from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses arising from or caused by the award of such a prize including, but not limited to, the payment of any and all taxes that are due.
     
  14. The decisions of El Ranchito de los Niņos are final on all matters concerning the raffle.
     
  15. Void where prohibited by law.
